Handling your data properly, and the trust you place in our products and services, are a priority for us. To give you the best in everything we do we are committed to continuous improvement; it is in that spirit that we collect, use, transfer and store your data.

You have the right to be told transparently how we process and protect this data; we therefore ask you to spend a few minutes reading our privacy notice, and not to hesitate to contact us with any question or doubt.

When you visit our website we may ask you for some basic personal information such as your first and last name, telephone number, email address and — where necessary — details about your display. We keep your contact details to hand so that we can recognise you next time, which means you only need to give us the information once.

This document (the “Notice”) is intended to give information solely about the processing of information relating to users of the services accessible from the web address www.mydisplay.it (or its mini-sites or subdomains) by Massinelli s.r.l. and/or by other parties identified for the purposes set out below. The Notice is given pursuant to EU Regulation no. 679/2016 (“GDPR”) and concerns only that Site: it therefore does not cover any other sites the user may reach through links on it.

1. Data controller

The data controller — that is, the legal person who determines the purposes and means of processing personal data — is Massinelli s.r.l., tax code and VAT no. 02288270545, registered office in Perugia, Via della Gomma 17 — 06135. Email: privacy@massinellisrl.it.

2. Categories of personal data processed

The information and personal data that Massinelli s.r.l. may process through the Site, within the limits of the purposes and methods described in this Notice, are the following.

Browsing data

The computer systems and software procedures that operate this Site acquire, in the course of their normal running, certain data whose transmission is implicit in the use of internet communication protocols. This is information that is not collected in order to be associated with identified individuals, but which by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified.

This category includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users connecting to the Site, the URI addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file returned in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the server's response (success, error, and so on) and other parameters relating to the user's operating system and computing environment. This data is used solely to check that the Site is working correctly.

Data provided voluntarily by the user

The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of messages to the contact or email addresses shown on this Site, as well as the completion and submission of the forms on the controller's site, entails the subsequent acquisition of the email address and of any other personal data included in the message, together with the sender's details, as necessary in order to answer the requests and/or to provide the service.

3. Purposes, legal basis for processing and retention period

The personal data provided by users who request informational material is used solely to provide the service or the performance requested, and may be known to employees and collaborators of Massinelli s.r.l., duly instructed on the care and safeguards to be applied when processing such information, as well as to third parties providing services ancillary or instrumental to the business of Massinelli s.r.l. with whom specific agreements have been signed in compliance with the Regulations.

Purpose A) Browsing the website

Legal basis: legitimate interest, art. 6(f) and recital 47: processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party, provided that such interests are not overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require the protection of personal data, taking into account the reasonable expectations of the data subject based on their relationship with the controller. Activities strictly necessary for the running of the site and for the provision of the browsing service on the platform.

Retention period: for the duration of the browsing session. For browsing, see the section on cookies.

Nature of provision: except as specified for browsing data, which is necessary in order to allow the website to be browsed, the user is free to provide personal data or not.

Completing the data collection form for contact

Legal basis: performance of pre-contractual measures taken at the data subject's request.

Retention period: 1 year.

Nature of provision: providing the data is optional or necessary depending on the specific purpose for which the data is processed. Failure to provide mandatory data will make it impossible to obtain what has been requested or to use the controller's services.

Purpose B) Direct marketing

Where the data subject completes dedicated data collection forms, in specific areas for direct marketing purposes: subject to consent and until they object, for direct marketing by the controller, market research, direct selling, satisfaction surveys, sending newsletters and promotional, commercial and advertising material or material relating to events and initiatives, by the controller through automated means such as email, fax, SMS-type or other messages, as well as by telephone calls through an operator, including automated calls, paper mail and other informational material.

In order to compare and where possible improve the results of its communications, the controller uses systems for sending newsletters and promotional messages that produce reports. Through these reports the controller may learn, for example: the number of readers, opens, unique clickers and clicks; the devices and operating systems used to read the message; details of individual users' activity; details of the emails sent, delivered and undelivered, and of those forwarded.

Legal basis: consent, art. 6(1)(a): the data subject has given consent to the processing of their personal data.

Retention period: until they object (opt-out or withdrawal of consent).

Nature of provision: providing data for purpose B) is optional and, if it is not provided, the data will not be processed for that purpose. Refusing to provide it will not affect the availability of the purposes under point A).

4. How data is processed

Personal data will be processed by manual, electronic or telematic means suitable for guaranteeing its security and confidentiality, and will be carried out by staff duly instructed to comply with the Regulations.

On the basis of the consent given by the user, they may be contacted by email, SMS, or through any equivalent electronic means, or by paper mail or a call through an operator, at any of the contact details provided. If they would rather be contacted at only one or some of those contact details, they may make an express request by email to info@mydisplay.it.

5. Disclosure of personal data and transfers outside the EU

Depending on the processing the user authorises, personal data may be disclosed to parties providing services connected with the business of Massinelli s.r.l., as external processors under art. 28 GDPR and as persons acting under the controller's authority under art. 29 GDPR. The information may also be disclosed whenever disclosure is necessary in order to comply with requests from the judicial or public security authorities. The personal data collected will never be disseminated.

Specifically, the data will be shared with:

• parties providing services for the management of the information system used by Massinelli s.r.l. and of telecommunications networks, including email, newsletters and website management;
• self-employed professionals, firms or companies in the context of assistance and consultancy relationships;
• competent authorities, in order to fulfil legal obligations and/or instructions from public bodies, on request.

The data will not be transferred to countries outside the EU. Should a transfer of data become necessary, it will take place in accordance with articles 44, 45 and 46 of EU Reg. no. 679/2016.

6. Your rights

The applicable Regulations grant users a series of rights set out in articles 15 and following of the GDPR, including, by way of example and without limitation, the right:

• to access their personal data;
• to request its rectification, updating and erasure, if incomplete, inaccurate or collected in breach of the law;
• to request that processing be restricted to part of the information concerning them;
• to have the information concerning them transmitted to them or to third parties they indicate (data portability);
• to object to its processing on legitimate grounds;
• to withdraw their consent at any time by written request, with no formality required, to the contact details given in point 1.

To stop receiving direct marketing communications (email, SMS, calls from an operator, paper mail) it is enough to write at any time to the address privacy@massinellisrl.it with “unsubscribe” in the subject line.

Massinelli s.r.l. reminds users that they may contact and lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) in the manner set out by the applicable Regulations.

7. Cookies

Cookies and similar technologies are pieces of information that sites and apps send to or read on your devices on your first visit, and that are then sent back to those same sites and apps on your next visit. It is thanks to these technologies that sites and apps remember actions and preferences — login details, chosen language, font sizes, other display settings — so that they do not have to be entered again on the next visit.

These technologies are used to carry out electronic authentication, session monitoring and the storage of information about the activity of users accessing a service, and may also contain a unique identifying code that makes it possible to track a user's browsing within the site for statistical or advertising purposes.

There are different types of cookie which, depending on their characteristics and functions, may persist on your device for different lengths of time: so-called session cookies, deleted automatically when you close your browser, and persistent cookies, which stay on the device until a set time.

In line with the applicable Regulations, your prior consent to the use of cookies is not always required. In particular, it is not required for technical cookies, for example those used solely to carry a communication over an electronic communications network or strictly necessary to provide a service expressly requested by the user. Prior consent is instead required for non-anonymised analytics cookies and for profiling cookies.

Types of cookie used by the Site

• Anonymised analytics cookies to monitor and optimise use of the site and to give warning of any errors. They also make it possible to obtain detailed technical information, such as the last page visited, the number of pages visited, whether an email has been opened, which parts of the site or of the emails users click on, and the time elapsed between one click and the next.
• Technical cookies, to use the services the user requests through the site without having to log in repeatedly, and to remember any actions the user has taken, such as completing a form, when returning to the previous page of a session.
• Functionality cookies, to remember the preferences chosen during previous visits — country and language, interests, presentation of the site — so that the user does not have to enter this information again, to remember the answers to questions the site has asked, to determine whether a service has already been offered, and to provide information that makes optional services work.
• Third-party cookies, coming from sites or servers other than those of Massinelli s.r.l. Third parties process personal data in accordance with privacy legislation and the cookies are anonymised by masking IP addresses.

The third-party cookies used are those of Google Analytics, which make it possible to analyse and improve how the Site works. To disable them you can download and install the browser opt-out add-on provided by Google Analytics: this component instructs the Google Analytics JavaScript code not to send information. The add-on is available for the most widely used browsers; more information on Google cookies.

8. Managing cookies from your browser

You can allow, block or delete cookies, in whole or in part, through the specific functions of your browser or through third-party add-ons. Disabling the Site's technical cookies, however, may mean that some services or features are unavailable or do not work properly, and you may be obliged to change or enter some information manually on every visit.
